Description
This project was all about adding essential space to a pokey kitchen and living area for a family with three energetic young kids!
The challenge here was removing the lower story walls of a 3 story brick dwelling to extend to the boundary, and install wide bi-fold doors to open up the rear of the house
The exposed steel beams are the skeleton of the structure above, transferring the weight of the two floors above down to the ground and illustrating the former footprint of the building
Construction period: 12 Weeks
Key features:
- Sustainably sourced Blackbutt floors
- 3 panel stacking, Double glazed, hard-wood cavity sliding doors
- American walnut joinery
- 1.2m cantilevered concrete bench-top
